Are you tired of being told what health care you need?  Are you ready to learn how to navigate our crazy system of healthcare? Do you need to understand what procedures are required, or, just recommended? Do you want to learn how to become a partner in your health care?

Guidance and suggestion to these topics will be covered in this three part consumer health lecture series.

Today, being a health consumer encompasses having knowledge beyond basic medical care and health practices. Patients need to do their homework and become a well-informed consumer about how our body and healthcare system works.

  • Examining consumer rights, responsibilities, and resources with regard to the American health care system, health fraud, and health insurance.
  • Examining consumer health products and learning to recognize fraud versus fact
  • Examining and evaluating health information
