Join us for a leisurely stroll through our local native desert park — led by a Desert Awareness Naturalist — and learn about Sonoran Desert upland plants and how they survive. Walks are the 1st Saturday of the month December through April, begin at 10 a.m., and last for 60-90 minutes. The Nature Trail is relatively flat, and the Saguaro Trail is slightly uphill.

Santa Fe was the western terminus of the Santa Fe Trail, and the only significant land route that linked Mexico with the United States. We will explore its foundation and evolution from its establishment until its obsoletion five decades later.

They opted for a variation of a Democracy called Constitutional Republic. We will examine how a Republic differs from a pure Democracy and compare to other governing alternatives throughout the world, including examining Socialism vs. Capitalism.
